Pro Art Tip
This would be fun to do with the whole family. Each person can take a turn filling in a square. You could also try circles instead of squares.
INVITATION TO CREATE
Small Worlds
Whatâs in your world?
Small worlds are a staple project and process at Meri Cherry Art Studio. We use playdough as a base inside a plate (often a terra-cotta plate), allowing children to freely press in whatever objects they wish to create in their world. There is no right or wrong way to do this. If your child likes Paris, it can be a Parisian world. If they like Halloween, it can be a haunted world. If you have a fairy lover, then fairy worlds it is. Itâs really up to you and what you have around the house. Shown here are some examples of materials and small worlds weâve created.
